You'll do great. Just pretend that you're running around the kids school. You did 10 or 12 just the other day. I think you're forgetting that um..like 4 months ago you were not running at all.
I told myself this all the time in the army and I still do when I have to do a procedure in the OR. I say whats the worst thing that could happen I pass out bonk my head or throw up..life will still go on.
ok one last thing..i know my points may be extreme but i know how you feel. Most of my life or at least in the last 10 years almost everything I have done with working and exercise makes me nervous and uncomfortable. I'm so proud of you. I know how hard running is. You'll do great. I'll be praying for you.
Wahoo! You're gonna rock and roll on that course! Have fun! Maybe next year I'll be there.....um yah...at this point it's just a struggle to run a mile on the treadmill.
Okay, I don't need to say it again. You know how I feel about this whole running voluntarily thing. I will be thinking of you running while I am home without my hubby this weekend. He's going to California to see his family. I'll be going crazy by Sunday for sure. Call me sometime next week. How's the new calling?
You WILL do fantastic! Just keep thinking the whole time, "I am a mom of four kids, running a half-marathon. I can do anything!" Then quietly sing to yourself (or not so quietly), "Don't cha wish your wife was hot like me?" to the tune of PCD :)
Wish I could be there with you. I wanted to do the full, but it was already capped out :( Oh well, I'm doing a different one in Portland on the 4th, and also very nervous!
