I have seen this on a few blogs, and think it is kind of fun.

Memories of Me...
1. As a comment on my blog, write a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I will assume you are playing the game and I will come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you on my comments.
Now, Let's play!

My mom, Iris, is visiting from Colorado. We flew her out here for Payton's baptism. We are really enjoying having her here. She is amazing while she is here. She cooks, cleans, does laundry...I think she should stay.
BRICK BY BRICK!

This has been a project for the last couple of months...and it's finally finished!! After the mud, the digging, the pounding, the broken water pipe, the cut phone line and SEVERAL trips to Lowe's, it's done. And, we absolutely love it. It really has changed the look of our house. We can entertain out here and just hang out on those nice summer nights (that seem to have disappeared for a while.) We are debating just turning the entire side yard into a patio and then continuing another section onto the back of the house. That won't happen until next year though. I really appreciate all the help we received from family and friends. But most of all I appreciate all the hard work my husband put into it. He worked his tail off trying to have it all ready and things cleaned up for Payton's party on Saturday...and he pulled it off. Thanks, honey!

With Payton turning 8, he of course was baptized on Saturday, the 16th. He was very laid back about the whole thing. He is pretty apprehensive about putting his face in water, but he had no problem with it. Doug baptized and confirmed him. It was a great experience. I can't believe that I have and 8 year old. He is such a great kid and we are very blessed to have him in our family.

BIRTHDAY BOY!!

Well, Payton is now 8 years old. He said that he feels the same as he did when he was 7. The Southwest Washington fair was going on, so we decided to take him there to celebrate. Him and Savannah rode as many rides as they could and had a ton of fun. Jillian on the other hand, was miserable because she was too little to go on the majority of the rides. Poor her! We got home way too late and the kids were tired and filthy, but totally satisified. It was a good day!

FReE HATs, LaWNMOWERs and NASCaR
So Saturday was...interesting. We tried to get started off early, yeah, with four kids that seems impossible. We headed to Lowe's in Olympia to get even more bricks for our never-ending patio project. We brought one of our tires from the Tahoe with us because it had a hole in it. We dropped that off at a tire place. We just told them that we would be back in a little while cause we were just going to be at Lowe's which was just across the street. We went in, meandered around, bought the bricks, got that all situated and decided to look at lawnmowers. Now, for me its just pick one and lets go. No, it can't be that easy. Doug wanted to check all his options. So we decided to go to Home Depot. WE got there and low and behold, Tony Stewart's car was there. We really are not big fans of Nascar, but we have a son that loves things like that. And plus, who doesn't want to sneak a peak at one? WE got into the Depot and they were giving out free hats if you filled out a survey about the new Toyota Tundra. Why not? So, in these pictures, we look like a true "red-neck" family! (Did you notice the camo on the hats?)
Well the rest of the day consisted in driving ALL over OTown to find the best deal on a lawnmower. I think we went to 7 different places all together. We ended up finding one and at different Home Depot. Thank Goodness!
Oh, about our tire that we dropped off. The guy forgot to mention that they closed at NOON!! We showed up about 1:30 and everything was all closed up. SWEET! So the Tahoe is still sitting in our driveway resting on the jack looking like an amputee! Thanks tire guys.
Unfortunately, not one single brick got pounded in, not one! Because when we finally made it home, we had to play on our new mower!
